Ambulance crashes into Frito-Lay truck and sedan, causes minor injuries in SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX – At least one person was injured in an accident involving a passenger vehicle, an ambulance, and a Frito-Lay truck in southwest Houston earlier this week, according to KHOU.

The accident happened near the intersection of Bissonnet Street and South Beltway 8 on Monday at about 4 a.m. as an ambulance was responding to a call.

The ambulance went through the intersection with its lights and sirens on and then crashed into a Frito-Lay truck that had the right of way.

The ambulance continued into the roadway and struck a sedan that had been stopped at the intersection.

At least one person suffered minor injuries in the collision, though it is unclear which vehicle the victim was riding in.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the collision at this time.
