HOUSTON, TX – At least one person was killed during a wrong-way crash on the North Freeway ramp early Friday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.


The accident happened on Houston Avenue, at the ramp to the North Freeway, at about 2 a.m.

Initial reports indicate that a wrong-way driver was involved in the accident.

At least one person was killed as a result of the crash. Their identity was not immediately released.

HPD advised drivers to avoid the area, as traffic delays were likely.
