Bicyclist fatally struck by pickup truck on W Little York Rd

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed in a bike crash on Little York Road last week in northwestern Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened in the 8600 block of W Little York Road at about 1 a.m. Tuesday, when the driver of a white 2004 Ford F-150, identified as Reynaldo Mendiola, collided with a bicyclist.

The bicyclist was ejected onto the freeway after being hit. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mendiola reportedly remained at the scene of the crash and is not suspected of having been under the influence.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
