HOUSTON, TX – A bicyclist was killed in northwest Houston this evening after he was hit by a vehicle, according to the Harris County Sheriff.
@HCSOTexas units responded to 1300 W Mount Houston Road in reference to an Auto/Ped crash. An adult male bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The striking vehicle remained on the scene. #HouNews pic.twitter.com/f9VTJ0FKsb

The accident occurred in the 1300 block of W Mount Houston Road (Highway 249), and was reported by the HCSO at 8:39 p.m.
The victim, a man whose identity has yet to be revealed, was hit by an undisclosed vehicle, then taken to the hospital. There, he was declared dead.
The driver, who remained at the scene after the crash, was not reported as injured.
