Bicyclist killed in W Houston hit-and-run collision

HOUSTON, TX – A hit-and-run accident in west Houston led to the death of a bicyclist Thursday night, according to KHOU.

The accident happened in the 6400 block of Howell Sugar Land Road near O’Donnell Middle School around 11:50 p.m. when a vehicle struck a man riding on a bicycle from behind. The driver then fled the scene of the accident.

The bicyclist, who has not been publicly identified at this time, was killed in the accident.

Authorities are seeking potential witnesses to the crash and are searching surveillance cameras and other security devices in hopes of finding footage of the hit-and-run collision.

The accident remains under investigation.
