MCNAIR, TX (HARRIS COUNTY) – An elderly man was killed after being struck in an attempted hit-and-run accident in northeast Harris County this weekend.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred about 3.5 miles north of McNair, at Garth Road and Barbers Hill Road, before 5:40 p.m. Sunday.

A black Chevrolet SUV and a dark-colored Dodge Ram pickup truck were involved in the accident.
An elderly man was killed in the crash, which the second driver attempted to flee. The suspect, however, was quickly taken into police custody.
Authorities closed Garth Rd for the investigation of the collision.
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
