Driver killed after crashing into ditch, culvert in NE Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A driver was killed after crashing into a concrete culvert in northeast Harris County this weekend, according to KPRC2.

The accident happened in the New Forest West neighborhood, in the 6500 block of Uvalde Road, at about 11:25 a.m.

A driver was headed southbound when they went off the side of the roadway and crashed into a ditch. The vehicle then hit a concrete culvert, causing severe injuries to the driver, who was reportedly not wearing their seatbelt.

The victim was taken to the hospital, and at about 12:50 p.m., they were pronounced dead.

Their identity was not immediately available.
