HOUSTON, TX – Two people died early Saturday morning after a head-on collision along the interstate in Houston.
The incident happened overnight near the intersection of I-45 and East Tidwell Road in the Northside area.
Police say that a northbound vehicle entered the southbound side of I-45 and collided head-on with a southbound driver.
The collision killed both drivers at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released their names to the public.
Officials closed the southbound side of the interstate for several hours to investigate and clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
