Narrative
HOUSTON, TX – Officers were called to the scene of a crash that claimed the life of a cyclist in southwest Houston on Tuesday morning.
Police say the cyclist, an unidentified 51-year-old woman, was riding across the 6400 block of Westheimer Road outside of a designated crosswalk when she was hit by a Honda Civic.
The woman was pronounced dead at the crash site.
The Honda’s driver was questioned by police and released. It is unclear if any charges will be filed in connection to the deadly crash.
