Hit-and-run driver kills one person in early-morning crash on Northwest Fwy

HOUSTON, TX – A person was killed after they were struck by a driver who then fled the scene in an accident in northwest Houston early yesterday morning, according to a report by KTRK.

The accident occurred at about 4 a.m. on the Northwest Fwy (Hwy 290) near the exit for Dacoma St, and near the office building for the Houston ISD.

Authorities did not release the identity of the victim or the exact circumstances of the collision, though it is known that the driver likely fled the scene.

Police closed the Northwest Fwy ramp to Dacoma for several hours for the investigation and cleanup of the collision.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
