Narrative
Two Cleveland High School students were airlifted to a hospital Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle in front of the school. The Cleveland Independent School District said the incident occurred on East Houston Street at about 6:30 p.m. An early investigation indicates two students were crossing the road on foot toward the business plaza. At one point, both pedestrians were hit by the car. First responders had the victims flown to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries. It remains unclear what led up to the crash. No charges have been reported at this time.
