Man critically injured after being struck by hit-and-run driver in Waller

WALLER, TX – A pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in the Waller area late Sunday night, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.


The accident happened at about 9:45 p.m. near Waller at 37299 Hempstead Highway, near Kickapoo Road, when a male pedestrian was struck by a driver who then fled the scene.

The victim, who was not immediately identified, was airlifted to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.

No information was released about the suspect driver or vehicle.
