Man dead after crashing into cement mixer in SE Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A man who was allegedly speeding died after he collided with a cement mixer truck in southeast Houston early this morning, according to KPRC2.

The crash occurred in the Hobby Airport area, at Mykawa Rd and Madden Ln at about 1:15 a.m. as the driver of the truck was making a left turn.

A driver of a sedan then collided with the front of the truck while, according to police, he was driving at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the sedan died as a result of the collision, while the driver of the cement mixer was not reported as hurt.

Neither of the drivers has been publicly identified.

Police are awaiting autopsy results before they make any determinations about the cause of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
