HOUSTON, TX – A driver hit and killed a pedestrian in west Houston last night, then fled the scene after dragging the victim to the median, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The accident happened at about 10 p.m. near Westheimer Plaza on Westheimer Road.
The suspect, who had been driving a black sports car, collided with a man who had been crossing the road. The male driver stopped and dragged the victim to the median, then he fled the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died of his wounds.
Despite the driver stopping briefly, this incident is still considered failing to stop and render aid to a victim.
The identities of the victim and driver were not released in the report.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
