Man facing charges in fatal Sam Houston Pkwy hit-and-run

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man is facing charges after fleeing the scene of an accident Monday morning that ultimately resulted in the death of another person, according to KHOU

The accident happened in the 7800 block of West Sam Houston Parkway North around 5:20 a.m. after the suspect, 50-year-old Dagoberto Pablo Monge, allegedly struck the rear of the victim’s white van. 

Monge then supposedly left the scene without attempting to help the victim. 

He is facing second-degree felony charges of a fatal failure to stop and render aid. 

Monge is currently in police custody in the Harris County Jail, where he is being held beneath a $10,000 bond.
