One person injured after car crashes into fire truck in W Houston

HOUSTON, TX – Two vehicles crashed last night on Southwest Freeway, and one of them was pushed into a Houston Fire Department fire truck that was already there to respond to a motorcycle crash.

According to KHOU, the accident happened late last night in west Houston on the Southwest Freeway, near Chimney Rock Road as the HFD Ladder 51 truck was responding to a motorcycle collision.

Two other vehicles then crashed, and one of the cars then collided with the back of the fire truck.

At least one of the drivers was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The identities of the victims have not been released at this time.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the collision.
