Pedestrian dead after being struck by Corvette in Houston’s East End

HOUSTON, TX – A man walking across the street was fatally struck by a driver in the East End area last week, according to KHOU.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Latham Street and Harrisburg Boulevard at about 7 p.m., when a man walking in a crosswalk was struck by the driver of a Chevrolet Corvette that was possibly traveling at a high rate of speed.

The victim, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene.

The driver remained at the crash following the accident. At this time, they are not thought to have been under the influence, though authorities continue to investigate.
