Pedestrian fatally run over by car in northeast Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a driver in northeast Houston last night, according to FOX 26 Houston.

The accident happened in the 9200 block of Laura Koppe Road at about 9 p.m., as a man was walking along the roadway.

According to initial reports, the victim laid down into the roadway, and was then struck by the driver of a white sedan.

The victim, whose identity has yet to be released, died at the scene.

The driver remained at the site of the crash, and has reportedly cooperated with the investigation.

At this time, authorities do not believe that the driver was under the influence.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
