HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed in a pedestrian accident this afternoon in west Houston, near Bush Park, according to the Houston Police Department.

The collision happened in the 700 block of S State Highway 6, near Memorial Drive, at about 1:30 p.m., when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
The victim died at the scene.
It is unclear at this point if the driver remained at the scene after the accident.
The identities of the victim and driver were not immediately released.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time.
