Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident on Synott Rd

HOUSTON, TX – A man died of injuries he sustained during a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in west Houston on Sunday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.


The accident occurred in the 8800 block of Synott Road before 9:20 p.m., when a vehicle, possibly a tan SUV, crashed into a male pedestrian.

The driver fled the scene of the accident, failing to render aid to the victim.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The identity of the victim was not immediately released.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the collision at this time.
