Person in wheelchair hit and killed by vehicle in SE Houston

HOUSTON, TX – An accident on a dimly-lit road in southeast Houston led to the death of a person in a wheelchair on Friday morning, according to KTRK.

The collision occurred around 6 a.m. near Scott Street and Holmes Road. This section of roadway is reportedly not very well lit.

The victim died as a result of injuries sustained during the collision. Their identity has not yet been released.

The driver stopped after the crash to render aid to the victim and authorities do not believe that speed was a factor in the crash.
