HOUSTON, TX – A man died in the Willowbrook area yesterday following a high-speed crash caused by an allegedly street-racing driver, according to KPRC2.
The accident occurred in the Willowbrook neighborhood in northwest Houston near the intersection of Cypress Creek Parkway and Cutten Road at about 6:45 p.m.
A driver of a Dodge Charger was allegedly racing what is believed to be another Dodge Charger when the first driver collided at a speed of up to 100 mph with the rear of a dark-colored pickup truck, pushing it into a pillar.
The driver of the pickup died as a result of the collision.
The driver of the Charger and a passenger received minor wounds and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The racing driver is facing multiple charges, according to the report, though those charges were not named.
The other racing driver has not yet been located by police.
The accident remains under investigation.
