Teen dead, 6-year-old brain dead following ATV vs. SUV crash

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A teenager was killed, and a 6-year-old girl has been reported as brain dead following an accident involving an ATV and an SUV in northern Harris County last week.

According to KHOU, the crash occurred at Rosemary Lane and Keith Road at about 8 p.m. Friday night, when a 17-year-old girl operating an ATV reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign.

The driver of a black 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe then T-boned the ATV, causing both the driver and her passenger, a 6-year-old girl, to be ejected from the vehicle.

The two occupants of the ATV were taken to the hospital. There, the teenage girl succumbed to her injuries.

The 6-year-old girl was reported as brain dead on Monday.

The 18-year-old driver of the Tahoe was hospitalized with non-critical wounds.

The three passengers inside the Tahoe were not reported as injured.

The family of the 6-year-old girl has started a GoFundMe to pay for funeral expenses.
