Two people hurt in suspected DUI crash on Airline Dr

HOUSTON, TX – Two people were injured following a suspected DUI collision in north Houston this weekend, according to KHOU.

The accident occurred in the 8300 block of Airline Drive, near Margie Lane, at about 10 p.m. Sunday, when the driver of a Dodge pickup truck turned left onto Airline. The pickup then collided with a Honda sedan.

The driver of the Honda was pinned within the vehicle. After being rescued from the wreckage, they were airlifted to the hospital for the treatment of critical injuries.

The driver of the pickup was also taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. He was later taken into police custody on suspicion of driving while under the influence.

The identities of the drivers were not immediately released.
