Woman airlifted to hospital, man injured in late-night Katy collision

KATY, TX – Two people were injured following a car accident last night in Harris County, according to a Tweet posted by the Harris County Sheriff’s Night Patrol.

The accident was reported at 8:16 p.m. and occurred at the intersection of Katy Briar Lane and North Mason Road when a Ford Mustang and a pickup truck collided.

One of the drivers, a woman, was airlifted to the hospital for treatment, while the other driver, a man, was taken via ground ambulance. Both victims experienced injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening. HCSO did not specify which car the victims were driving.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released by the police department.

It is unclear at this point what led to the crash.
