Woman and Waller County officer hurt in NW Houston accident

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was seriously injured and an officer from Waller County was injured in a car crash in northwest Houston last week, according to a tweet published by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened in the Willowbrook area, near the intersection of FM 1960 and Solon Rd, and was reported by authorities just after 9 p.m. Thursday.

The female driver of a dark-colored sedan was flown to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. The officer was taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries by ground ambulance.

Neither of the victims was publicly identified.

Authorities closed FM 1960 in both directions for the investigation and cleanup of the collision.
