Woman injured after being involved in two crashes on Katy Fwy

KATY, TX – A woman was severely injured Monday after her car was struck by two different vehicles on the Katy Freeway, according to KHOU.

The incident began on the freeway near Barker-Cypress Road at about 2 a.m. when the victim’s vehicle was involved in a minor collision with a driver that fled the scene after impact.

The victim reportedly stopped the vehicle in the traffic lane after the initial crash and was then struck from behind by a different vehicle.

The woman, who has not yet been publicly identified by authorities, was taken to the hospital by medical helicopter in critical condition.

The other driver, a man, was not injured in the collision.

Authorities are still searching for the driver involved in the first crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
