HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed and a man was injured following a head-on collision Wednesday morning in southwest Houston.
According to KPRC2, the crash occurred on Beltway 8 near Westheimer Road at about 12:30 a.m.
A woman was driving in the wrong lane in the southbound lanes of the Beltway when she collided with a pickup truck head-on.
The driver of the pickup, a man, was taken to the hospital for the treatment of unspecified injuries and is in stable condition.
Authorities declared the female driver dead at the scene of the crash.
The identities of the drivers have not yet been released.
