Narrative
LAMPASAS, TX – Emergency crews responded to a major rear-end collision along the highway in northwest Lampasas on Wednesday.
The accident happened on the southbound side of US-183, which runs north to south through the city of Lampasas.
Authorities say that the driver of a southbound 2020 Ford Transit van looked away from the road momentarily and rear-ended a disabled truck tractor in the outside lane.
A 33-year-old passenger in the transit van went to Seton in Round Rock via CareFlight. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.
No other injuries have been reported in connection with the collision.
