Father and toddler killed in three-vehicle accident north of Lubbock

LITTLEFIELD, TX – A man and his 2-year-old daughter died in a car crash involving a semi-truck and an ambulance on Tuesday.

According to Everything Lubbock, the crash happened when the man failed to stop at the intersection of U.S. Highway 84 and Loop 430, hitting the semi-truck. The semi-truck then swerved and sideswiped a Baily County EMS ambulance.

The driver who failed to stop died at the scene. His 2-year-old daughter was transported to Covenant Children’s Hospital, where she died shortly after arriving. The driver’s wife is at University Medical Center in critical condition.

The people inside the Baily County EMS were taken to Lamb Healthcare Center with moderate injuries. There were no reported injuries to the driver of the semi-truck. Littlefield police are investigating.
