Narrative

LUBBOCK, TX – Medics transported a cyclist to University Medical Center on Wednesday morning after a vehicle struck them along a busy Lubbock roadway.

The accident occurred around 5:50 a.m. in the area of 4600 4th Street, which is west of Texas Tech University, between Slide Road and Quaker Avenue.

Police haven’t shared any details about the circumstances of the crash except to say that the cyclist sustained serious injuries. It’s not yet known if the vehicle remained at the scene or if anyone in the vehicle was hurt.
