25-year-old motorcyclist killed in hit-and-run crash in Citrus City

CITRUS CITY, TX – A motorcyclist died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver northwest of McAllen on Sunday night, according to information from KURV Radio.

The crash happened east of Citrus City near the intersection of 7 Mile Line and Brushline Street, when the driver of a black Chrysler 300 crashed into a motorcycle. The driver then fled the scene southbound on Brushline.

The motorcyclist, 25-year-old Mission resident David Lee Reyes, was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities continue to search for the suspect and vehicle, which likely sustained damage to its passenger side. Their investigation continues at this time.
