Crash in Weslaco leaves woman dead

WESLACO, TX – An accident in Weslaco resulted in the death of a 46-year-old woman early Monday morning, KRGV reports. 

The accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on F.M 1015, south of Mile 5 N. Road in Weslaco. The victim was driving a red 2007 Chevrolet Aveo at a high speed when she lost control and crashed into a tree.

The driver become trapped in her vehicle and was rescued by first responders before succumbing to her injuries.

No one else was in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
