SAN BENITO, TX – A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a pickup truck in San Benito on Tuesday evening, KRGV reports.
The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on the 1600 block of Sam Houston Street. The victim, a woman in her mid-twenties, was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a southbound pickup truck. She was then rushed to the hospital where she remains in critical condition.
The truck driver remained at the scene and is not expected to face charges.
