GRACIAVILLE, TX – A 55-year-old woman from Graciaville was killed on Saturday after being struck by a driver as she walked alongside the road, KRGV reports.
The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 83 near F.M. 1430 on Saturday evening. The victim was hit and killed on the road and the driver fled the scene.
Later the same evening, police stopped a white Jeep Commander with front-end damage consistent with the accident. The driver, a 48-year-old woman from Graciaville, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death.
