Teenager killed in Alamo hit-and-run

ALAMO, TX – A 17-year-old boy was killed in Alamo on Saturday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver, KRGV reports.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Cesar Chavez Road south of Owassa Road. The victim was attempting to cross the street when he was fatally struck by a 2012 white Toyota Sienna.

The driver of the Toyota fled on foot. Investigators believe that excessive speed was a factor in the crash.
