Driver dies after high-speed rollover wreck in NE Odessa

ODESSA, TX — A 30-year-old man was killed Thursday night in a single-vehicle rollover collision near northeast Odessa, reports Your Basin.

The fatal accident took place in the 7200 block of Eastridge Road, near City of Odessa Fire Station 5. Odessa Police responded to the scene shortly after receiving a call at 10:53 p.m.

According to investigators, the man was driving a 2015 Dodge Journey eastbound on the road at a high rate of speed. For reasons still being investigated, the Dodge veered off the roadway and overturned.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died from his injuries at the scene, confirms the OPD.

An investigation remains underway.
