MIDLAND, TX — A 53-year-old Lubbock woman died Sunday morning after a single-vehicle rollover wreck on Texas State Highway 349 near Midland, reports Everything Lubbock.
The fatal accident occurred on the southbound lanes of the highway, about six miles north of the city. It was first reported shortly after 11:00 a.m.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the woman was driving southbound when, for reasons still being investigated, she veered past the center line and into the opposing lane. She then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn.
The victim died on the scene as a result of her injuries, confirmed officials.
No other injuries were reported.
