Man dies after rollover collision on FM 1053 in Crane County

CRANE COUNTY, TX — A 45-year-old Stanton man was killed Friday afternoon after a rollover crash on Farm to Market Road 1053 in Crane County, reports Midland Reporter-Telegram.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported the fatal wreck on September 2 at around 3:55 p.m.

According to officials, the man was traveling in a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado heading southbound on FM 1053 when the vehicle ran off the roadway. The Silverado then traveled into the west barrow ditch, where it overturned.

The victim, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck, was thrown from the vehicle. He died as a result of his injuries.

It was unclear whether the man was the driver or a passenger. No other vehicles were involved.
