Narrative

Two men died early Sunday morning after a single-vehicle accident near Midland Public Library in downtown Midland. The fatal crash happened in the 200 block of West Front Street, and Midland Police responded to the scene at around 3:00 a.m. According to authorities, a 25-year-old man was driving a Ford Taurus when the car ran off the roadway and traveled into the parking lot of the Midland Public Library, where it hit the concrete base of a light fixture. The driver died from his injuries at the scene. Medics transported his 18-year-old passenger to a local hospital in critical condition. The patient was also later pronounced deceased. No other vehicles were impacted, and no other injuries were reported.
