Pickup truck plows into Midland home, nearly hitting woman

MIDLAND, TX — Property damage was reported last Wednesday, September 21, when a pickup truck crashed into a residence in central Midland, according to CBS7.

The collision occurred at a home on the corner of Thomason Drive and Holly Drive at around 6:30 a.m.

An early investigation indicates a male driver in a pickup truck was heading eastbound on Thomason Drive when, for reasons still unknown, the vehicle veered across the opposite lane and slammed into the house.

CBS7 said an 87-year-old woman was only narrowly missed by the pickup as it jumped a curb and ran through a bedroom.

The woman was said to have suffered a twisted knee in the incident, but it was unclear whether she was taken to a hospital.

The cause of the wreck remains unclear, but no charges or citations have been reported as of this writing.
