Young woman dies after multi-car rollover crash in West Odessa

ECTOR COUNTY, TX — According to YourBasin, a 23-year-old woman was killed Sunday in a rollover collision on West University Boulevard near West Odessa.

Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to the scene at North Timberline Avenue, nearly 3;7 miles west of Odessa. The crash was first reported shortly before 3:51 p.m.

An early investigation indicates a 2017 Nissan Rogue was traveling southbound on North Timberline Avenue at the same time a 2006 GMC Sierra was heading westbound on West University Boulevard.

Officials said the driver of the Nissan failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. The Nissan collided with the Sierra, sending the second vehicle rolling into another vehicle that was going eastbound on West University.

The young woman, who was not wearing a seat belt while riding as a passenger in the Sierra, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

No other injuries were reported in the accident, and no further details have been disclosed at this time.
