SAN ANGELO, TX – Two people were killed in a collision near Loop 306 early this morning in San Angelo, according to the Concho Valley Homepage.
The crash occurred near 655 Caddo Street and the 600 block of W Houston Harte at 1:29 a.m., after the driver of a red Kia Sportage went onto Loop 306 and collided with a white Honda Accord.
The impact caused the Accord to swerve off the side of the road and into a large sign. The Sportage also collided with multiple rocks near Central High School.
The driver of the Sportage, 45-year-old Del Rio man Raphael Salas, and the driver of the Accord, whose identity is pending family verification, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
