KERRVILLE, TX – One person was killed and another was left with significant injuries following a crash with a semi-truck on I-10 in Kerrville on Thursday night, according to KSAT.
The crash happened just before 9:30 p.m., near mile marker 510 on the interstate, when the driver of a big rig reportedly tried to stop due to slowed traffic. The truck then overturned onto its side and skidded into a Ford F-350 pickup truck that was stopped in the traffic on the icy roadway.
The two occupants of the pickup truck were taken to the hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead at about 6:30 a.m. this morning.
The other victim was listed in critical condition.
Police believe the icy road conditions were a major factor in the accident, which remains under investigation at this time.
