3-year-old hospitalized after driver crashes through bedroom in alleged DUI

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A toddler was taken to the hospital after an allegedly drunk driver crashed into her bedroom in northeast San Antonio late last night, according to KSAT.

The crash occurred at a home in the 600 block of Wyndale Street, south of I-410 at about 11:30 p.m., when a man drove through the front wall outside a 3-year-old girl’s bedroom.

The impact caused her bed to fly about six feet in the air.

The victim, a 3-year-old girl, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

No other people were injured in the crash.

A witness was able to help pull the child out of the rubble.

The driver attempted to flee the scene on foot but was later apprehended by police officers. He is facing a charge of DWI in connection with the crash.
