Narrative
SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man walking his bicycle along the interstate in San Antonio was struck and killed by a hit-and run vehicle on Thursday night.
The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on I-37 near Fair Avenue, which is east of Riverside Golf Course and south of I-10.
Police say that two vehicles were racing along the interstate when one of them struck the pedestrian. The driver stopped for a moment to speak with bystanders but then fled the scene before the authorities arrived.
Officials have not yet identified the victim, who they say died at the scene.
Police continue to search for the driver of the hit-and-run vehicle as the investigation continues.
