Child killed in collision on US Hwy 377

KIMBLE COUNTY, TX – FOX West Texas reports that a two-vehicle crash in Kimble County on Thursday night left one child dead and six others injured.

Texas Department of Public Safety officials say that the collision took place on US Highway 377, just southwest of London. Road conditions were icy on Thursday night, causing a driver of an SUV travelling north on the highway to spin out and veer into the southbound lane. The SUV struck a tractor-trailer head-on, and five people were ejected from the vehicle in the impact.

The driver of the SUV, Martha Gabriela Ramirez, and five other passengers were transported to Kimble Hospital for treatment. One child was killed in the incident.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
