Man in critical condition after being hit by train

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man in his twenties is in critical condition after being hit by a train while trying to cross the tracks on a skateboard on Sunday night, KENS 5 reports. 

The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. near the corner of South Presa Street and Conrad Street. The victim, who appeared to be in his early twenties, was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center with extreme trauma to his head and leg.

Police are still working to identify the victim but he was not carrying an ID. The conductor of the train said that he saw the man but was unable to stop in time.
