Man walking across Loop 410 fatally hit by car in W San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A pedestrian trying to walk across Loop 410 was fatally struck by a driver on Tuesday night, according to KSAT.

The crash occurred in the 2400 block of Loop 410 near Marbach Road at about 9:30 p.m., as 62-year-old David Patrick Gausline was walking across the main lanes of the highway. He was then struck by the driver of a Ford Mustang driving northbound.

The driver pulled over after realizing he may have struck an object. After spotting Gausline lying in the roadway, he attempted CPR on the victim.

Gausline was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

No charges have yet been filed in connection with the crash.
