Pedestrian hospitalized after being hit by truck in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man was hospitalized after being struck by a pick-up truck on the west side of San Antonio Wednesday morning, KSAT reports.

The victim was walking in the street on South General McMullen Drive between Morelia and Queretaro when he was struck by a southbound Chevy Silverado around 7:15 a.m.

The driver of the Silverado had attempted to avoid the collision by slowing down, but was struck from behind by a Nissan Pathfinder which pushed his truck into the pedestrian.

The victim, a man in his early thirties, was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The latest report indicated that he was in stable condition.

Both drivers remained at the scene and are not expected to face charges.
